This is a stamp design I was commissioned to do for the fantastic "Wish you were here" 2007 calendar - http://www.coyote-tangent.com/wywh/ I also had the main image (minus text and background) professionally printed up on t-shirts. So malamute or wolf, or both - take your pick.

So... yeah. Varekai is a companion of one of my OCs (Emery), and she kinda follows him around everywhere, or tries to -- she's the level-headed, gentle one. As for size, she's not giant-huge, but she's not tiny either, and other than that, her design will probably go through a few changes. :) Oh, and before anyone asks, yes, I was inspired by Cirque du Soleil (the name), and the overall style by Shinerai. *needs to learn how to draw wings* xD

A badge for the awesome VisionCrafter! I really experimented with the lighting on this one, so I had a lot of trouble with it. I almost scrapped it and started over, but I kept going anyway. Thanks to Nambroth for her encouragement!

I have a grey fox plushy that has a little book attached to her ear which gives a rough translation of the Miwok tribe's creation myth. Grey Fox decides to create the earth so she makes a little clump of dirt, then gets Coyote to help her sing and dance until it becomes huge and filled with thing that interest her. I thought it would make a great painting, so I painted it.

The Attack by Wolf Nymph

My final project for an animal anatomy class I took this summer. The animal with the spear is Slender Loris, my favorite primate. They don't come in white, but I thought he might be more interesting that way. ^^ The cat's face is based off a cougar, but with the fur colour of a tiger and kind of made-up patterning. Leopard inspired, but not really leopard accurate. The birds I feel are a compositional afterthought, since we had to include a bird in our final piece somewhere. They are Black Throated Magpie Jays. I'm very proud of this painting, but it reveals places I need to work on. Environments and rock textures for one! It's a pretty big piece for me, 16" X 20" in heavyweight illustration board. It also turned out a little darker than I would have liked, still looks good. The original will be displayed at my school, but it is for sale if anyone is interested. Please send me an email! Greenvoice by Wolf Nymph

Another little piece I did for myself just last night. Wolf Nymph again, but she is always a little different everytime I draw or paint her. I like the idea of a character design open to interpretation and change, like Nevar Raven once told me when I was redesigning Wolf Nymph. Music is very important to me right now, nothing else in this world makes me feel as connected, alive and good as music can at this time... Singing to myself in my car or the shower (yes, I'm a shower singer), or wearing my (very prized) headphones all night while listening to the best of the Red Hot Chili Peppers or something. Music is life to me right now, I can't live without it. That obviously came out in this little painting. ^^ Copyright to Katie Hofgard

Dejected Dog by Wolf Nymph

A dejected and pondering Wolf Nymph... Went back to my old colouring style again with this one, watercolours andd coloured pencil. I think I'd be happier with it if I had stuck with just watercolours. But since it's a bit of vent art it doesn't quite matter if it had spaghettios smeared across it, so long as it's an emotionally satisfying art-thing. Copyright to Katie Hofgard
